Hello, I’m Suzanne. Glad you are here. By way of introduction, I write, walk, travel, take pictures, and read books. I am now a fully-recovered lawyer — in other words, retired. Of Ships and Sealing Wax, published in October 2024 by Meryton Press, is my first work of fiction.
It is true that I not only write stuff and read stuff, but also watch stuff. I have a house, a car, a cat, a lot of cousins and a lot of books. I also have too much other stuff.
As of July 2025 I have completed (really completed) the final draft of the sequel to Of Ships, which is titled A Dangerous Correspondence. More information here as it becomes available.
By the way, my old Word Press blog, The Blue Chair Blog, is no more. It mostly covered my travels and the last entry was in 2018, so time to wave goodbye. I am considering whether to blog a bit more actively on this site, start another blog for life outside of novel writing, jump to another platform like Substack, or maybe forget the whole thing. You will be among the first to know.
